Ssir Online School offers Information Technology (IT), Computer-Applications Technology and supportive Mathematics to students in grades 10 - 12. Our courses prepare students for writing a South African National Senior Certificate (matric) exam in grade 12, either through the IEB, or the Government.

Register for 2026 at any time between 1 September 2025 and 31 January 2026.
Registration does not officially close, however we strongly recommend that you join the course at the beginning of the year (between January and February) to ensure that you don’t have too many weeks of catch up.
You can, but we don’t recommend it. IT, like maths, is the type of learning that builds one layer onto another: without the previous step, you won’t understand how to solve the current work challenges. THerefore, if you decide to begin IT in Gr 11, you will have to study Gr10 content as well, to ensure a solid foundation.
Coursework begins with the start of your school term.
Not at all, most desk top computers will suffice in learning IT. We recommend using a Windows computer, but you will manage on an Apple IF you study IT Java. Unfortunately, IT Delphi is strictly only for Windows machines.
No, you don’t need prior understanding of IT. Ssir will teach you everything you need to know to ensure a thorough understanding of the subject.
